Barbara Gaber studied fine arts at University of Michigan and interior design at Wayne State University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She has been practicing interior design for over twenty years, working with her clientele to make not only her inner vision a reality, but theirs as well.
She is a published designer, and has partnered with architects on renowned projects, such as the winner of the 1993 AIA Award, Piku Residence.
Barbara avidly explores color and composition not only in her interior design work, but also in furniture design, abstract painting and jewelry design. She is always enrolled at Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center, where she recently won the Andrea Tama Award for Excellence in Acrylic Painting and the Eva Briggs Award for a 36" x 36" Abstract Painting.
She serves on the Board of Directors of Friends of African and African American Art,
a Detroit Institute of Arts auxiliary.
